A 48-year-old Williamson man has been charged after allegedly having sexual contact with a child less-than 11-years-old.
Michael McCarthy was charged with attempted sexual sexual abuse, course of sexual conduct against a child, and endangering the welfare of a child.
the incidents took place between December 2016 and November 2017, according to deputies.
He was remanded to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $3,000 secured bond.
A stay away order of protection was issued for the victim.
